Long periods of time without regular maintenances produces potential risks of failures that are only detected through an exhaustive maintenance. These maintenances are advisable even when the machines are working correctly or when they are not in use.

Depending on the machine application or the intensity of its use one can determine the frequency in which would be advisable to conduct a preventive maintenance. Although in most cases in industrial applications this frequency is once or twice a year.
